Transformational Breathwork was developed by Judith Kravitz in the 1970's. Ms. Kravitz was a rebirthing therapist who was inspired to modify the rebirthing procedure developing Transformational Breath. Transformational Breath is very different than yoga breathing, holotropic breath, martial arts breath or rebirthing.
Transfomational Breathwork uses a relaxed uninterruped breath pattern, toning and body mapping during the process. I also incorporate a guided meditation to integrate the experience into the mind body and spirit.
This process releases old stresses stored in the body, oftentimes for years. The best part of the process in my opinion is the release is not "picked at" obsessed over or even spoken, the release is remarkable. A session is 1-2 hours (sometimes less but that is very rare) on a table warm and relaxed. We breathe together, I will assess where the breath is restricted and work with you to release the blockage. The release is often cathartic and life changing. Transformational Breathwork can also be done alone. After one or two sessions Breathwork can be self administered.
