I am running so late today!!! When my lovemuffin has the day off it usually is filled with lunch out and errands. I have also been cooking up some great classes with a new friend. Exciting times we live in! So, deep breath....the card of the day is brought to you by the Chrysalis Tarot and is Celtic Owl.
Owl has silently slid into our consciousness to remind us to use the seen and unseen worlds. Use your intuition and your senses to understand any situations you find yourself in. Owls are associated with natural and supernatural awareness. Using these senses Owl can understand what others may miss.
"Owls represent interconnectedness personal courage and spiritual growth". Owls are also connected with Athena symbolizing wisdom, courage and inspiration. Owl has flown in to show us the man behind the curtain, who was also wise...hidden...and gracious.
Have a great what is left of today folks! Tomorrow I shouldnt be so tardy! ~Mamma Moon
Good Morning! the card of the day is brought to you by the Universal Wisdom Deck again today and is Release.
A thing I noticed right away was we have been getting a string of release related cards lately haven't we? Today it cant be any clearer, and how fortuitous that it is the day before the big blue supermoon and Lunar Eclipse! Lets dig in shall we?
This card represents the release of a person that is still causing negativity in your life even though you do not have contact with them anymore. In your mind you have forgiven and "moved on" but on some level that person is still living rent free in your head. Perhaps it is their voice that still corrects you or the voice that judges you...or the voice that reminds you you are not good enough. This is the time to release them for yourself, to let go...not condoning or agreeing with their actions, but to be free, free to unfold into your brilliance. You may be pushing back against these words thinking "But Mamma Moon I have heard this crap before...I have done this shit, aaarrrgh" Right? I can hear you. Sometimes it takes more than one time. We are hard-wired pretty good about stuff sometimes. Here is a ritual. Do it alone, or if you feel the need with a friend or counselor. Here we go:
Sit and close your eyes. Breathe in hold for a 4 count breath out allowing your shoulders to relax and your body to relax into the chair. Repeat a couple of times.
Imaging the other party in front of you, surround both you and the other in loving white light. Now invoke the energy of the Archangel Michael. Imagine the energetic blue cord that binds you together, this represents the negative attachment between you that you wish to sever. Now imagine the cord being severed by the Archangel Michael with a blue energy sword...the light splits and engulfs you both now separately. The protective light carries away the other leaving you bathed in light and protected. Thank Michael for his protection, of both you and them. Thank yourself for your determination and bravery. You are now free. Breathe the free air as Gandalf the Grey would say.
In my own body I feel the resistance too...I have carried this for so long! It's almost like a friend a blanket of protection...who will I be? How will I be responsible for my OWN and on my OWN? Its ok to be scared. Do it anyway, because you know it is holding you back. You will see there are people waiting to receive you...let it go.
This may need to be repeated...go for it, as many times as it takes to be free of the ties that bind you in drudgery and pain. And so it is. Aho.
Good stuff today! Be Elsa and let it go!!!! ~Mamma Moon
Good Morning! Today's card of the day is brought to you by the Universal Wisdom Oracle Cards and is Healing.
The thing that jumped into my mind first thing is to reassure someone about their healing. Sometimes when healing is in full swing it "feels" worse than it did before. You feel more emotional, more vulnerable, cranky, confused and lonely. Sometimes that is the way healing works. I am here today to assure you that your healing is happening no matter how you "feel". This is all just part of the process.
You may wonder why I put quote marks around "feel". The reason has gotten me through some pretty dark times...feelings aren't real. Feelings are a cascade of neurochemistry responding to a stimulus. They feel real, they sure do. But they are not. Step outside of the situation and observe. What may have at one time been said or done is over. The one that continues to perpetuate the stimulus becomes your very self. You are now the one reinforcing whatever emotion that keeps you from healing and enjoying life fully. This card today is here to tell you that the process of healing is in full go.
Take some time every day to write down your thoughts about yourself, your "feelings". Getting them out is a huge part of healing. Look at them with an objective eye. You will find things are very different outside your head than inside your head. As you begin to release these thoughts things may feel unbalanced, causing you to feel these emotions, but have no fear, those are feelings of healings. Be patient, this is the process. Trust that a beautiful transformation is unfolding...You are being reborn.
Have a blessed day today...Write, Write, Write till you see the light~ Mamma Moon
Its a cold cloudy Sunday Morning here on the Midwestern Plain. This morning's card is brought to you by the Chrysalis Tarot and is the 6 of spirals and the keyword is Success!
This is a wish card. Make a wish, today it has a great chance to come true! On the card we see a string of clooties in the tree of life named Yggdrasil.
What is a clootie you may ask? It's the same one I asked. Clooties are like Tibetan prayer flags, which is fascinating how we are all connected like that. On clooties you write your petition for the local sprites and spirits to see. The petition can be for healing, an intention or a petition of thanks for previous granted wishes. Then they are hung in the trees as an offering. This ritualizes the wish, which helps us to focus on our wish. It is best done at the full moon.
The full of the moon is a great time to release or birth our greatest desire or release our greatest fear. The energy is for release...when we birth we release into the world.
Clooties are a Celtic ritual to focus our energies and ritualize our wishes. This helps the wish be born. Hang it in your local Hawthorn tree...or over a well, the more magical the better.
Consider your wish granted. Maybe a clootie making gathering is in order...what do you think?
Have a blessed Sunday! Make a wish! Now is the time! ~Mamma Moon
Today's Card of the day is brought to you by the Chrysalis Tarot and is the Divine Child (The Hierophant) #5 of the major arcana.
I love this card. It reminds me to see and be like a child. To have childlike curiosity, enthusiasm and innocence. Transformation through play and creativity. Enlightenment by innocence.
In the image we see the divine child with his/her paints curious about the feel of the colors and probably the taste also! In a scallop shell...the thing I love about the shell is what the author Toney Brooks says about the scallop shell. All of the ridges go to a single point in this shell, it represents the "many paths to enlightenment"...this card representing our divine childlike wonder. Uh oh...I brought Divine Child into the mix didn't I? Here is one of the most difficult concepts for some to embrace...ready?
You are embodied perfection. You are the divine child. Perfect in every way in every moment. If you really believed that what would you accomplish? Would you feel empowered to take your own destiny into your own hands? What if you empowered yourself with the truth of it; you are divine. You are at the helm of your life. You are the decider. Your flame is fanned by you alone, or quenched by you alone. Which will you seek? To turn the flame into an inferno? Or to hide the flame in the smoke of fear? You get to decide.
